Making a Career Transition: A conversation between me and my friend Elizabeth Freeman

Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to develop strong, long-lasting relationships with colleagues who, throughout the years, have become dear friends. Elizabeth Freeman is one of those whom I met over a decade ago at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center while consulting for the compliance department. We recently reconnected after Elizabeth retired from her healthcare career, and I’m grateful that she reached out for this article and interview for our first collaboration. She is an exceptional writer! Her weekly posts on Substack are about women living and thinking differently in their third act, all of which are truly inspiring, candid, and honest. I encourage you to read her thoughts on her Substack channel: Recalibrate.me.

The interview I had with Elizabeth, "Making a Career Transition: A Conversation with Julie Hamilton", highlights my experience working with clients–who are mostly women–wishing to transition from their current career into a more values-aligned path. We talk about aligning our values, shifting mindsets to foster greater creativity in evaluating our options and opportunities, uncovering and addressing fears and limiting beliefs, like money/titles/societal views, that may hinder our progress, and the importance of having a support system to transform our lives. If you are interested in learning more about my work and how I can help you, feel free to schedule your free complimentary call here: https://calendly.com/corerising/30min

I hope you enjoy our conversation! Please share this interview and Elizabeth's work with anyone who may find it beneficial.

Have a beautiful day!
